Guilherme Bergamin de Barros

Guilherme has more than 15 years of experience representing national and international companies and financial institutions in cross-border restructurings, credit recovery, and the structuring of security packages.

He has worked on some of the largest judicial reorganizations, pre-packaged bankruptcies, and bankruptcy liquidations in Brazil, as well as in high-stakes corporate disputes. His experience includes major cross-border restructuring cases involving companies from sectors such as cement, sugar and alcohol, energy, aviation, and oil and gas.

He holds a Law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Sao Paulo and an LL.M. from the University of Columbia, New York. The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners have recognized Guilherme as a “Rising Star” and an “Associate to Watch” in Restructuring and Insolvency for multiple consecutive years.
