Renata Machado Veloso

Renata has more than 20 years of experience, with a practice focused on debt restructuring, bankruptcy, civil litigation, and arbitration, as well as extensive knowledge of corporate law and M&A transactions. She has acted in the main judicial reorganization proceedings since the enactment of the current reorganization and bankruptcy law, always representing key players in sectors such as sugar and alcohol, energy, aviation, oil and gas, and real estate development.

She also represents clients in complex domestic and cross-border distressed transactions, including M&A, financing, foreign investment, credit recovery, and the structuring of collateral packages, as well as in corporate and M&A disputes and joint ventures. Renata is admitted to practice law in Brazil and in the State of New York, USA. She holds a Law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Sao Paulo and an LL.M. from the University of Northwestern, Chicago.
